What age did you start gymnastics?

How did you start in gymnastics?
My mom was a gymnast in high school then decided she would try putting me in it.
How did you deal with mental blocks?
Going back to the basics is super important and making sure to communicate with coaches if you need anything like a spo.t
Who was your role model/someone you looked up to in the sport?
Aly Raisman
What was your hardest struggle during your time as a gymnast?
Injuries are always hard on me mentally and physically.
How do you handle nerves when you are competing?
Breathing and remembering you have done this so many times.
What was your biggest accomplishment in gymnastics?
Making US senior national team.
What did you do after you were done competing? Did you stay involved or did you do something totally different?
I am currently still competing for OU.
What would people need to know if you are starting gymnastics for the first time?
Trusting the process is so important.
What was your favorite meet?
NCAA nationals 2023 or Gymnix 2020.
How do you handle pressure from peers/coaches/fans?
Focusing on myself.
How do you overcome setbacks and challenges?
Remember that I am here for a reason! I was gifted with a talent that I am meant to do.
Did college gymnastics ever cross your mind as something you wanted to do?
Yes.
Least favorite event and favorite event? And why?
I don’t have a least favorite event but I do have a favorite event which is Beam and Floor! I love dancing and tumbling on floor. I also really love the focus on beam.
Hardest and easiest gymnastics skill to train?
Standing full on beam was probably the hardest one to learn and train. I’m not sure about easiest one because gymnastics always has their hard skills mentally or physically.
Advice you would give to current or people who want to start in the sport?
Have an open mind and trust the process.
