Athlete Feature: Brody Malone

Brody Malone is a powerhouse in men’s gymnastics—a national champion, world champion, and two-time Olympian whose determination continues to define his career. His journey in gymnastics began at just three years old. During high school, he balanced gymnastics alongside rodeo before choosing to focus on gymnastics at age 12. Learning to navigate high-level athletics while overcoming personal heartbreak at a young age helped build the elite mental toughness he is known for today.

Collegiate Excellence at Stanford

During his collegiate career at Stanford University, Brody was a dominant force from the moment he stepped onto the floor. He was named the CGA Rookie of the Year and helped lead the Cardinal to an NCAA National Championship title every single year he competed.

Dominance in Elite Gymnastics

Brody’s elite career took off early when he made the Men's Junior National Team at age 15. Since then, his international and local accomplishments have been remarkable:

2021: Earned a spot on the World Championship team, taking home the bronze medal on high bar, and qualified for his first Olympic Games in Tokyo after winning both the U.S. Championships and the U.S. Olympic Trials.

2022: Returned to the World Championships and once again brought home a medal for Team USA.

2024: Delivered a standout performance at the U.S. Olympic Trials to punch his ticket to the Paris Olympics. In Paris, he helped lead the U.S. Men's Team to a historic Bronze Medal, the team's first Olympic podium finish in 16 years.

Overcoming Adversity

Brody’s resilience was tested in March 2023 when he suffered a severe knee injury that sidelined him from competition. Demonstrating incredible perseverance, he fought through intense rehabilitation and returned to elite competition in under a year, proving his passion and dedication to the sport are second to none.
